
No pink slips for the employees of Air India – but yes, the state owned flagship carrier will offer 15,000 of the total 23,000 of its employees 'leave without pay' for as long as three to four years. The statement comes a day after one of India's leading private sector Jet Airways announced it would retrench around 1,900 employees to cut operational costs.
